Literally the best park in Lexington.Except for parking.
But what do you expect when it’s in college student row?
Located on Elizabeth Street between Floral Park and Westwood Drive, tucked behind an easy to miss passage, lies the most perfect park in Lexington. The large, shade providing trees make the park beautiful, the considerable expanse of green space makes it versatile, the maintained playground equipment makes it fun for the littles, and the walking path invites you to stretch your legs for a short stroll.
Behind the park are very active train tracks which my kids love to hear.
Almost completely surrounded by fencing, it’s easy to relax without too much concern of kids running off. It’s usually quiet here as well so there is not a lot of searching when your book gets a little too engrossing.
The only drawback (other than the parking) is that since this has become a college student neighborhood, inevitably there will be some after hours gatherings here, leaving beer bottles. It’s not been a big problem but it is something to be aware of.
