I love car shows. I seek them out and happily Lexington seems to have people gathering to show off their rides every weekend. This weekend is Keeneland’s Concours d’Elegance. Over a four-day period, classic cars and new cars gather in Lexington to show off their beauty.
Featured at Concours is everything from the Model-T’s of the early 1900’s to the Teslas and Maseratis of 2015. Really all you have to do is hang out outside on a major street and you’ll see these cars coming in to town. To see the really spectacular ones though, you’ve got to go to Keeneland.
It’s a bit expensive. $20 a ticket to walk around in the heat seems like a lot for me but the money goes to support the Kentucky Children’s Hospital so there’s that. I encourage you to check it out next year. See what $200,000 can buy.
Sorry some of my images don’t give the full picture. It’s hard to know what you’re taking a picture of when wearing polarized lenses with the bright noon sun. I know. Poor excuse. Next year I’ll suffer without sunglasses.
